Marla Kirban, Owner

Bryant Falk, Abacus Audio, Senior Engineer

Bruce Kronenberg, Coach

Marla Kirban graduated from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts in 1970 with a B.A. in Theater Education and a minor in Speech. She began her career in the voice over industry - literally by doing a favor and running a voice over casting session for a friend, Charles Rosen (Charles Rosen Casting.) She discovered that not only did she help the talented actors and actresses get their “reads” right, but she was good at it and really enjoyed the medium. Ms. Kirban moved to Los Angeles shortly thereafter and ended up working for Jeff Danis at ICM for the next seven years as their In-house Voice over Director. At ICM, she worked with talent the likes of Stockard Channing, Steven Weber, Megan Mullaley (Will and Grace), Estelle Harris, Jane Lynch (Best in Show), Ana Gasteyer (SNL) and Jim Cummings (the voice of Winnie the Pooh and the Tasmanian Devil.) Five years ago, she returned to New York City to start her own voice over studio and to date she trains, directs and provides guidance for many aspiring voice over amateurs and professionals alike.

Bryant Falk has been a producer and engineer for over 12 years working with such clients as The Ricki Lake Show, Coca-Cola, Sport Illustrated and most recently Valley National Bank. His company Abacus Audio handles many aspects of the audio production field from creative and production to mixing and final output. His technical expertise combined with his creative talent allows for an atmosphere of successful productivity. His collaboration with Marla Kirban Voiceover combines both his technical audio skills in demo production, and his teaching skills in guiding students through the basics in the art of voice overs. Bryant’s most recent project includes audio production, editing, mixing and sound design for MTV’s The Shop.

Bruce Kronenberg has been in the voice over business for 18 years. Originally represented by J. Michael Bloom & Associates, he has also been a client with ICM Voiceovers in Los Angeles, where he originally worked with Marla Kirban and with Paradigm in New York. He is currently signed with Atlas Talent. He has done voice over campaigns for Mountain Dew, Campbell's Soup, Tyco Toys, Ford, Honda, Toyota, Pepsi Cola, Celebrity Cruise, Taco Bell, Pringles, Castrol Motor Oil, Time Warner Cable and Planters Nuts. As a promo artist, he has worked for CBS, ESPN, MTV, VH1, National Geographic and The Discovery Channel. He teaches a technique for voice overs that enables you to interpret commercial copy with a freshness and originality that comes from a strong acting point of view.
